Trades Specialist (Locksmith)

The Locksmith maintains all locks and doors throughout the facility. They are an important part of the maintenance department. They also assist the other tradesman making repairs in the facility and assist with snow plowing, maintain logs and adjust records to reflect changes, may install, repair adjust and maintain access control system, electronic door locking devices and controls, may perform carpentry tasks related to lock and key system.

Salary Range:
From $44354 to $54140 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Four years of full-time experience in locksmithing under a skilled journey level locksmith which provided training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Apprenticeship training in servicing and repairing locks and related building hardware or training gained by completion of technical courses in locksmithing at a school, institute, or branch of the Armed Services may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. Candidate must possess a valid NYS Drivers License.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
